  A D.O. is a fully licensed physician who has received the prestigous degree, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.  A D.O. graduates from college with a Bachelor or Masters Degree and then spends 4 years in undergraduate medical school followed by a postgraduate residency program of 3-5 years.  A D.O. receives additional training from an M.D. in musculoskeletal disorders, spinal mechanics, and holistic healthcare.  D.O.'s are licensed to prescribe all medications, perform surgery, deliver babies, and practice in any specialty.  Dr. Oliver is Board Certified in Family Medicine.
